anyone complaining about Pinkpantheress “piggybacking” on this track doesn’t even realize how ridiculous they sound. the entirety of this track is literally a sample of another song (Bob James - Westchester Girl) with a sped up drum break (another sample) behind it. electronic music, especially subgenres like jungle & dnb, was built on sampling. hip-hop was built on sample as well, get over it ?

Without the Pink Pantheress song (that I definitely like) I wouldn’t even know that this fire song exist. I think sampling is a good thing, I stumbled upon a lot of good old songs of every genre just by checking on whosampled. As long as the original artist gets credits and all it’s all good?
