Review by Andrea Fischer

Stephen Fry, the renowned British writer, actor, and comedian, has released his latest album, "Heroes Mortals And Monsters Quests And Adventures," which takes listeners on a journey through ancient mythology. The album is a collection of retellings of classic tales, such as the labours of Hercules, the adventures of Odysseus, and the story of Theseus and the Minotaur.

Fry's narration is captivating and engaging, drawing listeners into the world of gods and monsters. His voice is rich and expressive, bringing the characters and their struggles to life. The music and sound effects add to the immersive experience, creating a vivid atmosphere that transports listeners to ancient Greece.

The album is a wonderful introduction to mythology for those who are unfamiliar with the stories, and a delightful retelling for those who are already familiar with them. Fry's passion for the subject matter is evident in his storytelling, making each tale feel fresh and exciting.

"The humanist view of the meaning of life is different. Humanists do not see that there is any obvious purpose to the universe, but that it is a natural phenomenon with no design behind it. Meaning is not something out there, waiting to be discovered, but something we create in our own lives." Stephen Fry

Real science says nothing does nothing. Real science says if there was something there already it must fit with the evidence of what we know. We know the 1LT says there's a conservation of energy. It can change forms and neither can be created or destroyed. Creation cannot happen by natural means. The 2LT has various aspects, one being the universe is winding down, entropy. Usable energy is becoming less usable, so at one point usable energy was at its max. This all points to a supernatural creation, by a supernatural creator at a certain point in which matter, space, and time were created. When I read how it can happen otherwise, ALL the fools resort to science-fiction. Once a supernatural creation is accepted, then the next step is finding proof of what supernatural power did it.

We can't even get science without God. The laws of nature only can come from a Lawgiver, God.

Life only comes from life. Law of biogenesis.

God is the reason for us and all we have.

I love Stephen Fry's voice. I also love his love for gadgets. The video presentation of him reading with technological items it's a mind opening for people like me who cannot hold a book for a long time in hands. Thanks for that. Could you sometimes give advice on how to read aloud and not get your vocal cords destroyed and also preventing your eyesight's to stay healthy after reading for so long on digital gadgets. After saying this I will continue listening to this audio. Thanks again.

I never had a fancy for Greek mythology but AFTER listening to Stephen Fry, a made a bold decision to purchase a hardcover edition of "Mythos" and I am currently savoring Fry's delectable PROSE... I have yet to secure a copy of his "Heroes" soon enough ?

I devoured both “Mythos” and “Heroes” over a week each. What an experience! But I have to say, I noticed that “Heroes” was *RIFE* with typos, misaligned paragraphs and the like. Anyone else find this in their copy?

I'm reading Heroes at the moment, a fascinating and very accessible boek if one knows hardly anything about Greek mythology. While reading this book I find it even more amazing that Stephen Fry can memorize àll those names whenever he talks about them.
I'm one of those people who is reading Heroes first, because I was under the impression this was his first one to read in stead of Mythes. So thank the Gods one can read them the other way (a?)round.
Thank You Stephen for your contribution to the universe of myths and stories especially at a time when made-up stories are circulating, which contribute little to nothing to the awareness of ourselves as a species. Let alone the environment.
