About Stefan George

Guitarist, songwriter and singer. Husband of b. Oct. 20, 1952 in Detroit, MI d. Aug. 17, 2015 in Tucson, AZ In the 1970s he met his future wife in California and moved with her to an arts cooperative in Cascabel, AZ where he honed his abilities as an artist and potter. Stefan and Lavinia moved to Tucson and became partners in Splinter Brothers and Sisters warehouse creating one-of-a-kind pottery and a network of strong friendships. Stefan had always loved music, learning guitar and playing in bands as early as high school. In the 1980s he dove deeper into his musical talents, and with his wife, formed the band the Brain Damage Orchestra, which rocked Tucson for years. Through the 90s and into 2000 Stefan's musical career took many forms from rock to country, blues to ska, jazz to folk. His talent, adaptable style, and prolific song writing have kept fans entertained for decades.
