Gourmet - Jamaica

Jamaica, the latest album from Gourmet, is a masterpiece of modern reggae music. The band's signature sound, a fusion of reggae, ska, and rock, is on full display in this 10-track album.

From the opening track "One Love Jamaica," the album sets the tone for a journey through the sounds of the Caribbean. The band's tight rhythm section, led by drummer Tony "Bassman" Wilson, provides the perfect foundation for the soulful vocals of lead singer Marcus "Guru" Johnson.

The album's standout track, "Island Breeze," is a perfect example of Gourmet's ability to blend genres seamlessly. The track starts with a traditional reggae beat, but quickly evolves into a ska-infused chorus that's impossible not to dance to.

Jamaica also includes a number of slower, more introspective tracks, such as "Rasta Love" and "Sunshine in the Morning." These tracks showcase the band's versatility and ability to create music that's both uplifting and thought-provoking.
