The album "Große Orgelwerke des Barock" features the works of three prominent composers from the Baroque era, namely Georg Friedrich Händel, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. The collection showcases some of their most iconic pieces, performed on a majestic organ.

The album opens with Händel's "Organ Concerto No. 13 in F Major," which immediately captures the listener's attention with its energetic and majestic sound. The piece is masterfully played, with the organist skillfully navigating the intricate melodies and harmonies.

The album then moves on to J.S. Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor," a piece that needs no introduction. The organist's performance is exceptional, bringing out the full range of emotions in the music, from the hauntingly beautiful opening to the triumphant finale.

The final piece on the album is C.P.E. Bach's "Sonata in G Major," a work that showcases the composer's unique style and ingenuity. The organist's interpretation is flawless, highlighting the piece's intricate harmonies and rhythms.

About Georg Friedrich Händel, Johann Sebastian Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach

Johann Sebastian Bach was born on March 21, 1685 in Eisenach, Thuringia, Germany. A prolific German composer and organist, his sacred and secular works for choir, orchestra and solo instruments drew together the strands of the baroque genre and brought it to its ultimate maturity. Although he introduced no new forms, he enriched the prevailing German style with a robust contrapuntal technique, a control of harmonic and motivic organisation from the smallest to the largest scales, and the adaptation of rhythms and textures from abroad, particularly Italy and France. Many people consider him to be the greatest Baroque composer, and one of the greatest composers of all time. Revered for their intellectual depth, technical command and artistic beauty, J.S. Bach's works include the Brandenburg concertos, the keyboard suites and partitas, the Mass in B Minor, the St. Matthew Passion, The Musical Offering, The Art of Fugue and a large number of cantatas, of which about 220 survive. He died on July 28, 1750. Some of his sons also became composers - , , and .
